Roses are petaled, just like the life I led
My sins were dark,so that were crimson red
Double standards I had, one to the alter my vows I said
Lied to the other, the affair unsaid
Roses are thorny issues, my hubby felt alone
Guilt rose within me but caution to the wind I had thrown
The affair was sweet I couldn’t get my cover blown
Even after the kids, my side hustle was still unknown
Roses that are Red and easy to find in a garden of white
An affair that I led soon was brought to light
My hubby downcast thought we were alright
Just to learn I had another him under the moonlight
Roses are love, so was my hubby and the Father above
I had to stop, get forgiven and make peace with my love
Then ask for forgiveness from the Lord above
My sins crimson red were washed with love
Roses are gestures of affection And like love needs care and attention
Extra marital affairs are a destruction to a marriage in any dimension
Stay away from the stray and get on your knees and pray
God’s grace is the only way to keep from the foul play
Roses are red, to the married share that one bed
to the unmarried, keep the level head, remember Joseph fled
To the singles, one day you too will wed, abstain instead
To all, Jesus’ unconditional love is what y’all should spread.
